Generally, an employment warning letter is issued to an employee when they have behavior misconduct. The letter itself is not issued straight away. Usually, they will have already been called in by their managers or the HR department and have already gotten a verbal warning. This letter is issued in the hope that the employee will not repeat their offend in the future. Some companies issue the letter and hand it out in hardcopy to their employees while some prefer to send the softcopy of the letter to their emails. Employers are allowed to give out an employee warning letter to their employees to try and fix their behavior so that they don’t keep repeating the same misconduct in the workplace. By structure, the employee will get a verbal warning first, then a first warning letter, and a second warning letter. If they still repeat their offends after the second warning letter, it could result in a demotion or even removal from the company with their work contract being canceled. There are many reasons why an employee might receive this kind of letter from their employers.

Management and the company are giving out warning letters and hope for the employees to be able to fix their performance or behavior for the future. During the time that they are trying to fix their performance, they usually will have about 3-6 months where they will still be watched by the HR department and the management team for changes.
